Radiohead tour pictureThe Big Ask joined Radiohead on tour...

We travelled with the band during summer 2008 to Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Germany Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Scotland and Spain and signed up over 30,000 supporters to The Big Ask.

If weren't able to get to a Radiohead gig you can still take action in support of The Big Ask
where you live.

As well as taking us on the tour to talk to their fans about The Big Ask, Radiohead have also taken a carbon conscious approach to their world tour and made some important changes to reduce their carbon footprint.

Take a look here to find out more. This is the section of their site dedicated to looking at the way they tour and discussing the green initiatives they' re making. It also includes environmental reports from each venue and a chance to get involved in the discussion on their forum.

Thom Yorke, Radiohead front man said:

“We can all do our bit to tackle climate change – we are doing what we can and encouraging our fans to do the same. Its time our politicians did their bit too as they are the only ones who can put the structures in place that will help us tackle climate change.  That’s why I am supporting The Big Ask, Friends of the Earths Europe wide climate change and would ask anyone who cares about climate change to support them too - either by taking action at one of our concerts or online at www.thebigask.eu.”

Thom has supported The Big Ask campaign in the UK, where thanks to two years of campaigning by Friends of the Earth, a ground breaking climate bill is currently being made law.  Thom's now helping us to bring the campaign to the rest of Europe. He came to Brussels to launch the European wide campaign in February 2008. Take a look a the videos and photos of the day.
